Since 1984, we have been a provider of premier industry leadership and the highest quality of services in the area of workers’ compensation claims management. The claim unit manages the self-insurance program for 34 member school districts and the Puget Sound Educational Service District. We utilize the best medical and vocational resources to assist our injured workers to make prompt, complete recovery and to return to suitable work in the most expedient manner.
Our claim staff has extensive experience in the administration of benefits and management of claims; our adjusters have an average of 10 years experience and our supervisors have an average of 20 years experience. Each claim consultant is required to obtain certification as a Washington State Self-Insurance Claims Administrator and all adjusters must secure their Washington Workers’ Compensation Professional designation.
These certifications are maintained and reinforced through continuing education requirements ensuring our adjusters remain at their technical best. Our membership is divided in to two regions; North and South. Each region has been assigned a specialized team consisting of a program assistant, medical-only specialist, claim consultants and a technical claim supervisor to administer benefits and manage the claims generated by those members within each region. This team approach ensures an uninterrupted delivery of benefits and the highest quality of services.
